Think the Anna Innerd death in 1929 is from the marriage of george Innerd to Anna Dixon in1887 The Absent voters list has the name of George Henderson Innerd for Service No;58515. We could paper the walls with all these George Innerd's

Thanks to all.
Greyghost - that is my tree on Ancestry.
It does seem odd that Ann had a child with George Innerd before her first husband had died. They were possibly separated, or maybe he was in hospital for a long time before he died and she needed someone else to support her and the family.
Shame there is no next of kin or family address noted on the George Innerd war pension record. I wondered whether William might have joined up also. He would have been 26 at the start of the war.

Presumably Ann and Charles had separated before 1897, but of course, apart from the circumstantial evidence of young George's birth, there's no way to prove that.
Ann and George senior were then able to marry after Charles's death.

Hi,
I am trying to find out what happened to William Wass Davies born 1888 in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Son of Charles Wass Davies and Anne Morrison Todd
He had an older brother also called Charles Wass Davies (born 1881) who seems to be knocking about in Newcastle until about 1960. Married but no record of children.
I can see them in the 1891 census and a William Davis (aged 24) with brother Charles Davis (aged 30) living with George Innerd and "wife" in the 1911 census (possibly them as the father died in 1898).
Any hints would be much appreciated.
