Human interest story!
I've just been watching Flog It!, from Morecambe.
One of the items shown was an album of beautiful embroidered postcards sent all through WW1 from a soldier named Gordon Atkinson to a Miss Gladys Harper.
The seller said she hoped Gordon and Gladys had eventually married, but had no idea if they had or not. They weren't relatives of hers, and she knew nothing about them. She'd found the album in a house she'd moved into.
So of course I had to look them up - and yes, they did marry! Sadly they didn't have long together, and it seems they had no children.
