" Flip Albums
These are a particular type of slip-in album. The album normally consists of a hard cover, with lots of plastic holders attached in 2 columns where the photographs are place. You put the photographs into the clear plastic pockets from either side, hence the name 'Flip Photo Albums' The pockets can take 2 photographs back to back, or if the rear of the photograph needs to be visible, then one photograph can be used."

I expect you could label the plastic pockets, or slip a separately written label inside the pocket along with the photo.

Don't know if you watch "The Repair Shop" on BBC but there was one programme where they restored an old album which I think had postcards in it. They replaced all the pages with double card where you could see the postcard on the front of the page but when you turned it over you could read the backs of the postcards. If you could find the programme on iplayer you could have a look and see how they did it as it's not easy to explain. You could try to do the same thing yourself with a loose leaved album.

Hi, I have been looking for ages to find the ideal album and way of storing all my old photos. I ideally want a way of displaying them that allows some kind of labeling in the album itself or on a sleeve etc (obviously not labeling the front of the photo) and also want to mark the back in pencil. If that makes sense. I currently have a black paged album with the photos attached using photo corners, but I’m open to all kinds of ideas and suggestions!
