Tree on FS gives marriage place as Duboque, Iowa, so this could be a mistranscription? |

According to the 1850, 1870 & 1880 census I think he was in Oregon with wife Mariette but he was just listed as John, no middle initial. Mariette born Missouri to English parents. The outgoing lists didn't start till much later, but there are a few possibles for John Skaife on ancestry but I don't have the world wide sub. |

Please can anyone advise on trying to find John H Skaife b Yorkshire 1822, married in Missouri, United States 1849, I have tried to find him on passenger list on GR but I am unable to find anything at all for that name. |
