Thank you. I did many of those searches which used to be free of charge. It's still good value when even though already aware of the GRO refs it helps in ascertaining whether a certificate belongs to the birth parent of an adopted child and there are many possibilities. :-) |

They will search for a record when you’re unable to give a reference number, but charge an additional £3. |

I am just wondering whether GRO still does a free search for a birth when giving a mothers name etc but not including the vol/page references, please. |
