leslie albert chambers, evacuee

Leslie died,age 4, at Kerrier, Cornwall, after being evacuated from London, as a result of an air strike on 20/8/1942. Could anyone suggest where his remains (if any) would have been taken and buried? I can find no trace of his last resting place.

He was buried in Tolverne, Coverack

There is a full list of all those killed in the bombing
looks like he may have been living with a family called White

Son of Gnr. George Chambers, Royal Artillery, and Clara Chambers, of 38 Ashford Crescent, Green Street, Enfield, Middlesex. Died at Tolverne, Coverack.

Other Second World war casualties

In addition to Mrs. Hunter, three other people died in the air raid on Coverack on 17 August 1942 and were buried there on 20 August.

1. Leslie Albert Chambers - an evacuee from Enfield aged 12

2. Hilda Mary White - daughter of the village postmistress aged 38

3. John Herbert White - son of Hilda Mary White aged 3.
