Another family was there on the census.

Can't find them on the 1911 census

Maybe Rachel and Arthur were lodging with the Jacksons in 1911, but just weren't entered on the census?
Perhaps Thomas Jackson thought he only had to enter his own family on the form?

160 Strand Road had 6 rooms, including the kitchen but not the bathroom, scullery or lobby - so he would have had room for a lodging couple, as his own family consisted of himself and his wife, and a two-year-old son.

Hi mother was Naamah Plunkett born 1874 in Liverpool, England.

I have traced Naamah's Plunkett line back to 1798 and they are still in Liverpool!!!!!

This makes me think that someone in her family might have gone over to live Moose Jaw rather than the Plunkett's originating there as my great grandfather said.

Any info on Plunkett's in Moose Jaw then may have gone to or come from Liverpool, England would be greatly appreciated.

The image of that 1911 census posted by Choccy says his birthplace was Mounteford (or Mountsford) , Shrewsbury, and Ancestry's transcription says Mounteford.

That will be Montford, near Shrewsbury, which is about 8 or 9 miles from West Felton, judging by my road map.

Thanks for the info ,found details of the Edwards and Dayer families,but nothing about what happened to Minnie dayer

I know Minnie did go back to Liverpool in 1931/2., to visit family and she might of worked in a hotel called Lonsdale hotel in London ,she could of used different surnames Dayer ,Edwards Malenbergor Desmond ,I've tried these names but still can't find her .

Did she stay long when she visited family? or worked in London? Just wondering if she might appear on any electoral rolls

Been told she only visited Liverpool but could of worked in London for some time ,she had a boyfriend surname was Desmond ,but no other information

He was American working in the hotel with her

I've had a look on Anc' incoming passenger lists (without a subscription) for Minnie and surname blank but not showing any of the likely names, perhaps take a look there though and widen the search ?
