About my family. My mother's great grandparents were born in
UK, England and Scotland.
Her father was Charles Roe Dobson son of Richard Dobson Sr born
1802 in England possibly Lancashire in co of Westmoreland.

He might have been married twice. Beings that he was quite a bit older then his wife Charlotte Hafner.

In states name changed to havener.

Richard and Charlotte Dobson son (Charles)married Elizabeth Chubb Better known as Lizzie Dobson she was dau of Alonzo chubb And, Elizabeth Sutherland

Elizabeth Sutherland she was dau of James Sutherland born c 1797 Golspie Son of Donald Sutherland and Janet Sutherland marriage on record is 10, Feb 1791 Golspie.

James Sutherland married Helen Buie 1824 in wick caithness by rev DD Ireland.

Helen buie Was dau of John buie and isabella mckay.

John buie was Son of William bowie and Helen grant
from Dallas moray any help would be great.

I don't know! If that's the correct Richard, then yes, they are. But it may be the baptism of some other child of the same name, for all I know.

Date and place fit with what you said in your opening post.
