Hi

Need a bit of advice regarding parish records. How can I be sure I am following the correct family when there is no image to go with the text. I am back to 1770's but have hit a snag as there are a lot of the correct named parents but not sure if there is more than one set of parents with the same names. Plus it doesn't state which town these names refer to so am rather confused.

Where are you searching for the records?

FMP, and Ancestry have some images for certain areas in baptisms in the 1770s.

Perhaps you can share some details and we can look to see if any images are available.

I have been looking on Ancestry for the children of Richard Morris born abt 1733 in Farnham and Elizabeth Mayne I have a son Peter born abt 1772. There is also a Peter Morris born abt 1779 so not sure if they are one and the same.

If that's the case then they are not the same person and are different families. :-(

On the baptism image George's DOB is given as April 17th 1774 and Ann & Elizabeth are shown as twins.

On Sue's second post she states that she was looking on Ancestry. And you would need to subscribe to Ancestry to view them.
There are parish records on here. But you can only get to the records if you are a Platinum Member AND pay an additional £14:95 per annum to view them. I would add that I don't know how comprehensive the records on here are.

If you are presently only looking to find one or two records, then consider starting your own thread. Just post what detail you have and another member may be able to assist.
