For anybody searching GR Members Trees for adopted persons do consider using many different combinations of words if you haven't previously done so.

Try using the word 'adopted' and 'adoption' as both forename and surname combining these with appropriate known christian names and surnames.

Also, try combinations of years and places of birth with the above, also trying various initials etc.

I was surprised how many different records came up.

More obviously for those new to searching is to look at the 'more pages' listed as these may contain persons listed without a year of birth.

* also try the word 'unknown' also as (unknown) and 'adopted out' and 'adopted in' as there are a few listed. Also put the words (adopted out) and (adopted in) in brackets. Think of all the possible ways somebody may have made an entry on their tree.

Also, the words 'Adopted (as a forename) and 'girl' or 'boy' as the surname. Try leaving the name and place of birth empty for these as there are few listed which might be of interest.

Be creative, I notice there is even an entry on a Member's Tree which has the forename as 'lookingformyfamily' and surname as lookingformyfamily2. :-D
