Well I thought the same as you re Mary's age given eldest daughter Hannah was 25 I am thinking Mary was nearer 50 than 40 mind she could have been in her 40's when she had Patrick...Charles is not married on the Barrack Returns. |

Maureen The only Ellen Pitt I can find 1901 is living in Crimea Street with sister and Bro in law Rbt. Heany she is 27 which if it was her marrying Wm J Morrison would make her a good few years older plus she is Pres. |

If your William was married to Hannah O'Hagan they are in the 1911 Census in Belfast, as you find,William's parents James Morrison and Mary McManus lived in 13 Mayfair Street in 1911 census. The other family of James and Agnes McAULEY |

to be honest i don,t really have any facts when i first tried looking for william according to some of my little notes i had him born in 1882 then for some reason i have changed it to 1880 ,i remember my mother in law saying granny Hannah was only 4 feet tall but when she wanted one of her sons they dropped what they were doing and went ,i have no idea where william and Hannah died i just assumed it was Ireland my husbands father came over to England about 1957 to look for work then his wife and family joined him in 1959 and they lived in Yorkshire im sorry i don,t know much about the family but it show,s we should have asked more when they were alive Nellie |

Haven't time to check it now as I have to go out but there is a 12 year old Elizabeth Morrison with grandparents James and Mary Morrison in 1911. In 1901 she is a granddaughter with the Lawless family. |

I think you need to buy that marriage certificate to confirm Wiiliam's marital status when he married Hannah. It should also, with a bit of luck give his age, his father's name and occupation. If your William was indeed William John born 28/04/1880 then he would have been 30 or 31 when the 1911 census was taken. Of course he may have knocked a couple of years off his age as his wife was younger. |

We have never seen his marriage cert to Hannah the information i have was given to me from a helper also in Genes reunited a few years ago and my husband says his granddad william did have a sister Agnes ,I am trying to give as much info as i can to help but due to my husbands father not speaking about his dad plus my husband never met his granddad and when the past was spoke about it was Hannah,s name that came up and not William |

I suppose it's possible William changed his church but the William on the 1911 is a Roman Catholic but the W John in 1901 is Plymouth Brethen. |
