Nellie123. GlasgowLass posted details on her post of 20.7.( 20.52) you would probably be able to locate William's death through a process of elimination starting at 1931/32 using the Groni site. Hannah was still at Parkview in the 50s maybe your husband can recall if she was still alive when the family went over to Yorkshire in the late 50's. I imagine the family would have been buried in Milltown Cemetery but those records are not on line..once you confirm dates you could contact Milltown Cemetery and see if they can locate the grave....

Nellie123...
it appears Hannah Morrison sister of William didn't marry. She was still living 27 Mayfair St. as late as 1943 but I don't see her there in 1951.
William and Hannah continued to live at Parkview St. but he is not listed after 1932 only Hannah.. she was still there in 1951.
There was a John Morrison (labourer) at no.48 Parkview St. in 1943 but no 48 does not appear on later listing.

This may well be William Morrison....
A Co.2nd battalion Belfast Brigade.( Ardoyne and Bone)
*Morrison, W. Parkview Street;
So I would think your husbands father would be aware of the family history , the same address was also listed for David (RIP) Morrison....
From news reports that Maureen posted probably the Irish Independent was a near as accurate relating to the Murder...certainly the second paragragh.

Nellie, I have sent you a PM with an attachment . It's the 1905 death announcement for Sarah Morrison ( McCool) 1st wife of William and mother of Mary and Rose.
William and Sarah both appear on the 1901 at the home of Sarah's parents in Derry. (census posted above) Census night was 5/6 Apr.
Sarah and William had a son named Francis Morrison who was born just a few days later on 8 Apr 1901. ( Mother's Name: McCool) This child died on 20 Sep 1901.
I use GRONI https://geni.nidirect.gov.uk
You only need a single credit to be held on the acct (50p) and it allows you to access all the indexes without purchase or use of that credit but, the results provide registration areas and definitive dates. Births available only from 1864- 1915 but these also shows exact date and mother's maiden name. Marriages and death indexes also provide exact dates.
It costs 5 credits to purchase a cert which = £2.50.

Irish Independent 28-12-1921
Fresh Belfast Atrocity
Another shooting fatality in connection with the Belfast disorders.
While a "Special" police patrol around 7am called upon a number of men to halt whereupon the men ran away and as they did so,one of the them fired at the police. The bullet hit Constable Hill the other Constables went in pursuit fire was exchanged and a Civilian David Morrison age 30 was shot dead on Mayfair Street a second man was wounded.
Inquiry during the day showed the circumstances attending the shooting of Morrison to be remarkable. He was it appears in the doorway of his fathers house and was about to go to 8oclock Mass at the Sacred Heart, his father having preceded him. About this time a caged lorry occupied by "Specials" appeared at the head of the Street. The specials descended went down the street on foot accompanied by Con.Hill acting as a guide,a shot rang out and the Con. fell wounded. Morrison opened the door and the firing of a number of shots estimated at 6 was heard, and the ill fated young man fell dead.It is stated he received no less than 6 bullet wounds three to the forehead two to the jaws and one to the back of the head.
When a brother of the deceased came downstairs he was ordered to bring the body in and it was alleged a rifle was pointed at him, when the mother came on the scene and exclaimed "They are going to shoot my second son" the Specials withdrew, shots were fired in the air as they left.
Morrison had been 10yrs in the Army and three of his brothers had Military service one of them for a period of 22yrs,including service in the Boer War and the father 30yrs service.
Nellie your original request for names of step children has led to a whole lot of information for you, your husbands father growing up in Belfast will maybe have been aware of his uncles fate.
I have looked for any information on the step children Mary Morrison and Rose Ann Morrison travelling abroad on Ancestry without any success.
