When Bridget was born, Margaret put address as nursery street but that was in Feb 1900 so they had obviously moved by the 1901 census. Looks like everyone is stumped like me as to finding Bridget and Margaret in 1901 census.

that could be ...................
but I don't think that John Edward and his mother Margaret had any connection with Bridget Mary and her mother Margaret
there are too many discrepancies ............... age, marital status and occupation as a charwoman
as the wife of a sailor, Margaret nee Driscoll would have had no reason to lie about such facts.

could this possibly be John Edward from the 1901 census?
the census was taken on the night of 31 March
I believe workhouse officials registered births in workhouses so possibly he could have been registered in the first quarter even if born at the very end of it
Births Mar 1901 CARNEY Edward Liverpool 8b 105
... because there just is no John Edward birth registered

The actual address can be seen by going to page 1 ................
Liverpool Workhouse Workhouse Hospital and Infirmary Brownlow Hill, Liverpool
by googling ...........
this was the description in ca 1850 .............
BROWNLOW HILL WORKHOUSE
The workhouse in the parish of Liverpool is contained in an extensive clump of buildings, ranging in the wall, which extends from Mount Pleasant to Brownlow Hill. These erections, with additions have grown with the growth of Liverpool, but being still inadequate a great portion are to be knocked down and more commodities and, “classified” premises are to be built --------
Workhouses all over the UK had the only hospitals and infirmaries that were commonly available to poor people right through into the 20th century.
As a sideline .......
...... one building of that workhouse was still standing on Brownlow Hill in the 1960s, next to the new RC Cathedral, and I had laboratory lessons in it between 1959 and 1963 :-)

that's an error then because Margaret should be the daughter of a Driscoll?
that kind of error in either the original or the transcription isn't at all uncommon

Edward O'Malley on the 1911, looks like 11 years married to Mary
Marriages Dec 1899 (>99%)
Carney Mary W. Derby 8b 833
O'Malley Edward W. Derby 8b 833
On the 1911 Mason and Monks are down as the niece and nephew, and the 2 Carney children are down as boarders.... that seems an odd mistake to make? ( but maybe not)

Donna, when did Margaret and James marry please
edit to answer myself,
is it this one
Marriages Sep 1895 (>99%)
Carney James Liverpool 8b 340 Scan available - click to view Driscoll Margaret Liverpool 8b 340
because if it is then a little unlikely that the Margaret who was 21 in 1901 is the same woman unless there is a mistake on her age or she married very young?

Joonie John Edward Carney is with 'a' Margaret as per the 1911 , but if Margaret was 21 on that there is no matching death between 1901 and 1911 for Margaret? at least not in Liverpool
Nor can I see a death in 1918 for John Edward
