If you have travelling details FROM Argentina I'd be very interested to see them, might that be possible please? So far I've only found UK outbound sailings 1920, 1925, 1928, 1935, 1939, 1945. |

I know it was not what you asked for Keith, but I saw it as I was looking and just thought it would be interesting for you. Apart from that I have only found his travelling details to and from argentina. Nothing in newspapers as yet. |

Good heavens! Thank you Sylvia, where on earth did you find this? The age, birthday, and father look right and he was born and raised in the area. I had no idea kids were sent to school at 3? His father was, I believe, a horseman at a coaching inn, hardly someone to send his kids to school I would have thought! |

My father, Arthur William Parr 1895, lived in Argentina for a long time, roughly 1920 - 40 but, apart from playing a lot of polo and managing a plantation store, I have little idea what he did there. There are rumours of an affaire but how to find out? It seems that something he did was newsworthy enough to reach the British press. I wonder whether anyone here has access to UK newspaper listings from that period could see what they could find please? |
