Personally, I use freebmd and also have a subscription to findmypast and ancestry - I usually try to use all three sites together to gather as much info as possible.
Others that have posted on your thread may use different sites to the ones that I use.
I think too that you may have the answer to your query, that of his mothers full name - as posted above:
Marriages Dec 1876 (>99%) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rayner Henry Manchester 8d 312
Rogers Sarah Ann Manchester 8d 312

Thank you everyone I do mean GR lists/files bye the way Could not understand why which every category I chose to enter his name in this AM all showed 'No results' I do have all the results you kindly gave me ,as I'm closely related to Fairburn .but as all the relations mentioned are no longer with us I needed to know his Mothers full name . His line of work was WIRE Drawer as were lots of the male Rayners.. I do not like to ask too many questions, would love to know how you all go about getting such detailed info. I am only on a yearly subscription, so maybe that is why I am limited Thanks once again Marje. That is his Son(WWW1 death) Margee Thank You
