I'm not familiar with FMP ( what does that stand for?) and does it cost to search? |

Chris, I have found that, thank you very much. My concern is the different place of birth of Betty (Hatfield, or Hadfield) how do I know that she is the same person as Elizabeth who married Robert fish in Owston, and whose children were born in Owston? ( I have seen the records) |

LadyKira, how do I find that first 1841 census. I've looked on Ancestry but it hasn't come up? |

Thank you Margee, I have to admit I have that Ancestry census. I find searching on Genes a bit difficult. |

A good resource for Lincolnshire when you come to look at Robert and Betty |

I should add, I am descended from George Fish through my maternal grandmother. I have traced George from his son John thomas Fish, my gt. grandfather, whose daughter was Annie Fish. |

My apologies to you all for the confusion. The censuses you have posted are ones I am using. I made a mistake when writing about the death of George. I should have said he died in 1889, age 69, and I have the cert. Death notified by son Arthur.I have a death cert for Robert Fish,1869,age71, a potato dealer, address Clifton Street., notified by R Fish ( more confusion) and a death fot Betty Fish, widow of Robert Fish, a potato dealer, address Clifton Street. she was age 79, notified by Sarah Ann Lintin ( The Sarah Wade in the 1861 census. ( she remarried) George was baptised 01 Jan 1822, parents Robert and Elizabeth Fish. He had a brother called Robert, and went on to have a son Robert. George married Ellen Winn 11 Oct 1842. I hope you can make sense of this. |
