Lancashire Ann, I think you have got it, the Alfred I think is her husband and the Alan their son. I blew up the cemetery record of Alfred and that COULD be a very blurred 1962 instead of 1942. Naylor Street is a residence of my Stirrup families. Also the birth you just put up is the one I just found, probably giving Stirrup as her name at the death. |

Found on Ancestry birth index a phylis stirrup born 1909 and died 1980. Perhaps she was born a Stirrup and never married. Just need to find her on the 1911 census then. I know I am a pain but there are so many kind people on here. |

How about 'Flossie'? |

Could it be Florence? there's a death for a Florence Stirrup in 1930, a marriage of Florence Howgate to Frederick Stirrup in 1886 and a birth for her 1860? |

Another question! Does it specifically say she was 70, or in her 70th year (which would mean she was 69)? |

This one is listed as a child in 1906, so doubt it's her: |

I can't see a death registration on freebmd for a P* Stirrup in 1929-1931 |

Not having much luck in finding a marriage of a Phyliss to a Stirrup (surname). Just wondered if anyone knew of an alternative name to Phyliss, she was born around 1860 and according to her cemetery record, was 70 when she died in 1930. Cant find her in any censuses either. |
