The Football Association (FA) has launched a search for descendants of the eight men that helped establish the world's most popular sport 150 years ago. Can you help?
The founding fathers of football are:
1. Ebenezer Cobb Morley (1831–1924) 2. Arthur Pember (1835–1886) 3. Charles William Alcock (1842–1907) 4. Francis Maule Campbell (1843–1920) 5. John Forster Alcock (1841–1910) 6. Herbert Thomas Steward (1839–1915) 7. George Twizell Wawn (1840–1914) 8. James Turner

Obviously do not have anyone working for them with an interest in family history research as surely they could have done it for themselves unless they are trying to save money.

Gerrard and other current England players have joined the hunt by starring in a video appealing for help. Perhaps their descendants settled elsewhere in Europe, in which case you can email the FA with any information. To find out more about the search, check out www.thefa.com/foundingfathers.
From humble beginnings The FA is now in its 150th anniversary year, helping to support 7m people playing the game at grassroots level through to the elite level of 24 England teams.
And The FA have now called upon the public to come forward with any information on the eight men who established the world’s most popular sport 150 years ago.
The Founding Fathers of football are Ebenezer Cobb Morley (1831-1924), Arthur Pember (1835-1886), Charles William Alcock (1842-1907), Francis Maule Campbell (1843-1920), John Forster Alcock (1841-1910), Herbert Thomas Steward (1839-1915), George Twizell Wawn (1840-1914) and James Turner.
Any living descendants that can be identified and located will be invited to a special ceremony at Wembley to honour their ancestors in October.

Picking up on info posted by Glitterbaby.
It looks like Francis Maule Campbell had no children.... Francis Maule Campbell and Maud Beatrice Dunkerley were both previously married and widowed. In view of their ages, I don't expect there were any children from this marriage.
Glitterbaby also found Francis on the 1901 in Wales where he was unmarried He married Maria Louisa Yeeles.in Kensington 1902 (Last Qtr) Found them in Wales at 1911. Maria was already 72yrs old, married 8yrs and had no children She died in Wales 1918.

Maria Louisa did have some children, but of course they didn't belong to Francis
Her divorce papers are on Ancestry
I too am of the opinion that he didn't have any children of his own
Just thought I'd check out the Campbell to see if he was one of mine...........sadly not
