I am trying to find more information about Mary ie parentage, death etc. Anyone help?
This is infornation I have starting with her grandson I believe:
William Lowe born in 1866 in Birminghan, a french polisher by trade. In 1871 he is Liverpool and by 1881 residing in Manchester until his death in 1935. In the 1890s he changes his family name from Lowe to James
William parents were William Lowe and Ellen Demain married 20 May 1861 in St Thomas, Birmingham. William was born 1836 and his father was Joseph Lowe.
From the census records the family appear to be as follows: Frederick Lowe born circa 1808 in Earls Croome - occupation french polisher, his wife is MARY born c1803 in Hanley Castle, The children are William born 1836 and James 1837 who both follow father's trade.
Going back there is a marriage of Joseph Lowe and MARY JAMES on the 26 May 1833 in Hanley Castle.
Can anyone help further back? Regards Mark

Yes that appears right.
Found a record of a marriage of Joseph and Mary on 26 May 1833 at Hanley Castle which seem likely.
There is Mary James christened in 1801 in Hanley Castle parents are William James and Elizabeth Haines, and added them to my tree in ancestry. However, another researcher into the James family has stated my Mary James is in no way related to that James family. They state Mary James married Thomas Vivian and stayed i Hanley Castle all her Life
