Jax I may be misunderstanding you, if so sorry , but there is a link in the email I was sent, (and password etc)...when I sent feedback I clicked on the turquoise highlight in this sentence ....."improve it with a few changes, please let us know by sending your comments to ****[email protected] *****

It opened a message box, clicked send and off it went

I haven't looked at anything else besides the tree which is the new version as far as I can tell.

My problem too is with the white background. I can't look at a white screen for more than maybe thirty seconds in one go before I have to look away. I have the same problem when I create documents so it isn't a new experience to me.

I do like the much paler text but I won't be able to spend any time on the forum if the colour stays such a bright white.

I am off to send a message immediately. I've just renewed from the 22nd.

I also need to know how census, etc will be presented. If it is all going to be so bright, I need to ask for a refund now and find another site.

FBG,

Possible solution. Send me an email containing the comments that you are trying to send to GR but which they are refusing to accept because their email security system doesn't like you.

I will then send GR an email containing a copy of your comments about the "Facelift".

Up to now none of my emails to GR have experienced any problem getting through so hopefully that one won't either.

The results are what they are?

I'm no IT expert but their appears to be something wrong with a connected to either your PC setup of with your IP address

I have just spent money on having my email sorted out due to me giving it "constipation"as Jonesey so kindly put it.

I overloaded pics to someone on it...Well no one told me you couldnt send 200 at a time. :-D

I run all kinds of stuff to check for virus and have very good protection.

So why do other emails get sent then?
Like to Amazon and so on?

FannyByGaslight, Have you ever thought about why you appear to have these problems?

I just Googled your problem as posted by you in your post above 16:22 Here is the result, Make a note of all the possible causes and note that it says "You/your" on all but one occasion

Thank you Mo,so I am not as nuts as everyone thinks then if you have the same addy as Andysmum and I .....And I too had to go back to the original mail sent by GR to me to send it..


But as I said ,,,,,they sure dont seem to want my comments.....Which are,and here I C&P my reply which they did not want. :-D


Nothing has changed it seems to me except it is now white instead of green...I like green better than white..

I got the same old ,same old...ERROR ....message when trying to get into threads/pages.

So just the same as usual then but a different colour it seems to me.....

If it isnt broken why mend it??
But the things that ARE broken seem never to get mended..

Roy, it wasn't on the beta site. I had to go back to the original email to send it.

Andysmum, I cannot see that email addy on the beta site but note that the email sent from GR does list it as a email address to contact them, see below

However I don't see the logic in GR posting the above on their email inviting members to the beta site,

I suspect that it is an error and should not have been sent as a link? but could have been intended to read as follows

by sending your comments to the team @ genesreunited.com

Also why send feedback independently of the beta site when the facility is on the site without having to revert back to the original email?

Or have i misunderstood

That is the email address that was given to reply to on the email to ask an opinion on their "new look"Beta site Roy.
I know it is not their normal one for complaints/help but it is the one I was asked to reply on by the GR team..


So they obviously dont want my "opinion" after all if they have blocked my reply

The email address quoted by FannybyGaslight is the one on the new beta site email from GR.

I sent an email to it about 40 minutes ago (complaining about the pale print etc.) and have just received a reply!! More and more people are complaining about the print colour so perhaps it will have some effect.

I just can't understand why they're going to all of this trouble to make the site LOOK better when they should be working to make it WORK better!

There are so many problems with constant error messages, getting access to "My threads", listings in "My Threads" when you don't have a post on the thread, etc., etc.Not to mention the problems with trees.

GR, Please fix the problems before trying to make it look better.
