I have applied for birth certificates but am still confused, if there was another way i could cross reference whom his parents were by his service record or something, this would make it a definate match. Thanks again. |

Hi, Just wondering can anyone out there give me any tips on where i could check out some details on whom my great grandfather's parents were. He was killed in WW1 , i have a photo of his service number which is recorded on his grave site on the cross, he served with the Norththumberland Fusliers, I then looked up his service record which only showed when he was born and killed, also his service record number which i knew was him by the photo i had, then the parish that he was born in which was Dorking , England but i was hoping that it would mentioned whom his parents were, this would really confirm that i am on the right branch of the Stanbridge Family i am doing. Some information that i was given to hand just don't seem to link up. I have tried the BMD site but am still confused. Hope someone could kindly help me out there, many thanks, much appreciated, Denise Stanbridge. |
