Have the 2012 version and yes do have a pc. I synchronise my tree at the end of every session so that they are the same on ancestry as well as the FTM |

From the way you're describing it, it sounds as if your FTM programme has recorded the details on your computer tree, but the images are retained on the Ancestry site. |

Have just checked this and gone off line and have been able to view them in the my documents folder in family tree. The only downside is that they do not say who i have attached them to. |

That's my point, on my Mac version - when I go offline, I can still access the records & they are connected to the tree. |
