IM PUSS, MY DAUGHTER AND I HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE ANOTHER GO, BASICALLY SOME OF MY RESEARCH DIDNT ADD UP AND I TRIED DOING TREES INSTEAD OF BRANCHES, WOULD SOMEONE MIND GIVING ME SOME HINTS, IM ONLY WITH GENES, WHO ELSE WOULD YOU RECOMEND, IM STARTING WITH MY DAD SHOULD I JUST DO HIS DAD THEN HIS DAD OR DO MUM AND DADS TOGETHER, I AM GOING TO LOOK FOR MY READING GLASSES, I GUESS IVE WASTED MONEY ON PREVIOUS CERTIFICETS BUT I WAS CHATTING MORE THAN RESEARCHING, THANKYOU LORRAINE X DONNA. |

Start with what you know. Try to get back to 1911 Census where lots of information can be found. |

Take advantage of all the free sites and ask questions of family members. They usually have loads of information. See if they have any old papers or certificates hidden away. I had an aunt who, when I asked her questions, would usually say she didn't remember things but would phone me later because something had come back to her. When people get thinking it's amazing what comes to them. Don't disregard any snippets of information no matter how insignificant they seem at first. Oh, and ask all the lovely experts on here who can get every bit as excited about someone else's tree as they can about their own. |

THANKYOU ALL VERY MUCH, WILL START WITH DADS, FOUND LOTS OF INTERSTING THINGS LAST TIME, LIKE MY GREAT GRAN BEING THE LAST SURVIVNG FISHWIFE IN SUNDERLAND, SHE HAS BEEN IN A FEW BOOKS ALSO HER CHARACTOR WAS USED IN A BOOK CALLED THE STONEY PATH BY RITA BRADSHAW, SEE WHAT ELSE POPS UP THANKS AGAIN REALLY EXCITED ABOUT STARTING AGAIN. |

HI SUZANNE, FIRSTLY JOHN PURVIS DECEACED BORN OCT 1946 IN SUNDERLAND , HIS DAD WAS ALSO JOHN PURVIS JULY 1921 HIS DAD UN KNOWN , BUT HIS MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE NAMES A GEORGE PURVIS WHICH I BELIEVE ANYONE COULD BE ADDED SO I NEED TO TRAVEL UP NORTH. if you have credits for genes then of couse to can look for him on here,but it will have to be bmd because the census only goes up until 1911.x :-D |

i was born in farringdon, but lived in thorney close till i was ten, when 1st dad died, i used to go back to see my nana in farringdon till 2000 when she died, we went for a memory lane tour a few yrs back, it has really changed, i was hoping to find some old school mates on fb, they all must be out at work though, thanks for helping me, i was really chuffed when i found someone, xx :-D |

HI ANN I REMEMBER WHEN I MET DAFF THE FIRST TIME, SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS GETTING A SPECIALIST TO CHECK HER BLOODS SHE NEW SHE WAS ILL, WE MET A FEW TIMES AND SHE HELPED ME DURING A ROUGH PATCH IN MY RELATIONSHIP, I WAS BESIDE MYSELF WHEN THEY GOT IN TOUCH ABOUT HER FINAL DAYS WHAT A LOVELY UNASUMING LADY, WELL IM REDOING TREE AS I STAY IN A LOT NOW DUE TO MOBILITY SO IM REDOING MY TREE SLOWLEY WITH OLD NOTES TO CROSS, HOPE YOUR WELL WOULD BE LOVELY TO MEET UP AGAIN IN THE SUMMER XXX |
