me too - 1946/47 was definitely the baby boom when the men were all being demobbed.

the next baby boom was about when my elder son was born (1973) c1970-74 when all the original baby boomers started having their children My son's class was the largest at his primary school by a long way

don't think they've quite got that far with marriages yet Cynthia - only up to 1959 as yet

I found mine, 1953 and was astonished to see I was born in Gosport.
I had no idea that was the registration district!

No, 1947 seems to be that year.
If you look at the coverage charts
