I am looking for the marriage of Herbert James Fussell who died in 1915. His wife's name according to the CWGC is listed as Alice but I am unable to find a marriage: |

One of the ancestry records after his death says his mother is Alice. Also says no widow or children, so maybe he never married. |

His service records have no indication that he was married and there's a receipt dated 1919 for his medals that were presented to his father Frederick. Surely if he was married the medals would be given to his wife? |

It is the right family but I was following up the lead on the CWGC of a wife - maybe the CWGC record is incorrect. |

Having looked through his records too, I'd say there was no indication that he was married. Could the confusion be because his mother was Mrs Alice Fussell? |
