I have been researching my paternal line which unfortunately seems to have James as a common forename. I have come to a point where I have 3 men named James all in the right area on the 1841 census. I have disregarded one of them but the other two have me perplexed. Neither married at the time .

Maybe another person might be able to help.
There is a chance that all those James might link in somehow.

James Pemberton Born 1859/1860 in Wigan area is definately my GG Grandfather .
It is going back from this James that I am getting confused. The only birth record that matched this James as far as I can see means that he was born in Pemberton Wigan . It is really his Father who has caused so much confusion
