War Records.

I don't think I've asked for help on this subject before.
Can anyone find war records on James Letson born 11-07-1898 in Greenock. He enlisted at Glasgow, in 1915 with the navy or marines ( I think). He spent a lot of time in Chatham. His occupation on joining was a Law Clerk. He was in service till 1946.

I would appreciate any help with this.

You need to go to The National Archives site - it will charge you £3.50 for the record. They are usually pretty good value as you get a description of your man as well - height, weight, hair and eye colour etc.

There are service records for a James Letson born in Conongate enlisted
ROYAL REGT ARTY (R H & R F A) 15 February 1912. There are four images; let me know if you would like me to send them to you.
