Yes, it does look as if safc has found the correct one. However the date given is the baptism date and Edith could have been any age when she was baptised, so it doesn't help with finding the right birth - especially as the GRO will not now do checking points. |

I wouldn't worry too much about ages on the census - some of my lot gained a lot less than 10 years between some census. I dond't think some of them had any idea how old they were. |

A tree on Ancestry says she was born 16 Feb.1891, Newcastle, daughter of William Blacklock & Ann Atkinson. |

Men are notoriously bad at remembering peoples ages (apologies to men!!), but you would think he would at least have the day and month correct - in which case the Sept. qtr. birth would seem wrong. |
