Can anyone help with further investigation of this - the 1881 census for my relative (wiliam pearson) in theydon grove states his occupation as "care of lunatic" - as he had a private income I doubt his need for further income, however I cannot find anyone of his family described as a lunatic (?!?). how would I go about researching this further - any suggestions? |
