I know this is an old thread but just had to make a post on it. I found out about accessing the newspapers through a library card two years ago and apart from spending hours just perusing anything and everything - timewasting but so interesting. I found out that my gt gt gt grandfather sold everything he owned for his haulage business plus his home furniture and effects. Thinking he had died at that time I perused more and found that the he ran a business at the back of the pub and the pub was being sold. He died about 8 yrs later. Wonderful chances to find out allsorts. Thanks to Jonesy for his original post. |
