Hello Everyone I'm new here and to the fascinating and ever so slightly frustrating world of genealogy ! I can find a death certificate for my grandmother, also a marriage one but I can not find any birth records for her.I have no idea where she was born though know she died in 1955 at the age of 70.Any ideas where to go next? |

brummiejan | Report | 20 Mar 2010 22:22 |
Well, I'd like to say it's total genius, but in fact it involved typing the name and birth year into the Ancestry search box!! |

So Ancestry is the tool I need, because I can't find the second Daisy on the records here. |

If you want to look at census reports you do need either Ancestry or FindmyPast (FMP). Most people favour Ancestry I think, but all a matter of opinion. |

What year and area did you find her marriage in Teresa? I can't find a likely death for a Daisy S anything in 1955 aged 70. |

I don't understand, Teresa, why you don't know her married name. You say you can find her death certificate. That must be in her married name? |

Not sure Teresa said that? She must know the marriage as she plans to send for the cert! |

There are about 10 deaths of a Daisy S in 1955 - but you are right, none of them seem to be 70!!. |
