Your tree stays just the same on here after exporting your gedcom. |

Hi SnowyJen, I too required info on how to get a GEDcom from GR to Legacy and happened to see your instructions to Ivor. I've now done the same but got a list of errors (I did it twice as Ivor did but the second time I still got a list of errors). But I didn't understand the error list and now can't get access to it again. How do I display my whole tree in Legacy so that I can see the missing bits? This Legacy is going to take some getting used to! I watched the "training video" and it all seemed so much easier! |

Why not run the import again and make a note of the errors. If you aren't sure how to correct them, then put some details on here and someone is bound to help. |

OK, thanks very much. I'll run it again and make a note of the errors this time. Will no doubt be back here if I get stuck! |

Hi there, I re-ran the Gedcom and got a list of errors again. They are all to do with "unrecognised date format". What should the format be in GR for it to recognise it? The only ones it has recognised seem to be the ones where I don't have the date of birth but have just filled in the year. Where I do actually have the dob how should it be entered? As you know, it has a field for the year and then another field. In this second field should I just put the date with no year (e.g. 26 Jan) or repeat the year e.g. 26/01/1907 and in what format? |

I have downloaded it and it says "The publisher could not be verified, are you sure you want to run this Software" ? |
