When did William French die?

thanks for your help Alice Isabella was born in 1909 in northumberland and the marriage in1929 to Wiliam french was right but the other mariages were not her so I am still none-the-wiser as to what happened to her then or when she died, joanne

William French died in April 1953. I also know she wasnt married to Bernard Arnol because I ordered a copy of the marriage cert. and her father is named as Arthhur French and she is a spinster

Joanne you had two threads about this plus you have asked Jacqueline to look for you.

I see you have deleted the one which had the most info on, but although I have advised Jackie of your other thread you have now asked her again.

If no one here can find what you are looking for I doubt very much that Jackie will either, she does'nt have a magic wand...or maybe she has?

I am still trying to find anything on Alice Isabella Berkley, born 24th february 1909 in Morpeth,Ashington, Northumberland. She married William French in Jan 1929 and left him 3 years later (believed to be in debt). I do know she did not marry B.Arnold or Walter Knights. Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Possibly changed her name and did a moonlight flit then.

If she left him and there was no divorce then its likely she took up with someone else and took their surname .

can I check divorce records from 1930 onwards?
