freebmd carries almost all bmds from the start of registration on July 1 1837 to ca 1940.

What sort of dates are you looking at? If they are not too recent do you want to give the names?

Kirsty Report 1 Jan 2010 22:54

I'm really having trouble locating marriages of my relatives. I have spent most of the day trawling through 1000's of records but don't know if I have found the right one as I don't know the date of the marriage and having to take a guess at the year, which then brings me loads of results back and some with matches for the names but don't know if they are the correct ones as the only info is the borough and the name. Not knowing what borough they got married in, I am at a loss to know if this is the relative I'm looking for? Any advice would be appreciated!
