How much are people paying for Ancestry?

In early December I bought a copy of FTM 2010 Platinum from Amazon UK for £29.99 (half RRP) and it comes with a free 6 months subscription to Ancestry. OK, it's the basic subscription, but still very cheap and in 6 months I can do a lot of searching through the data I'm permitted to access (trees plus UK census and some other stuff). Fortunately for me I'm not really interested in much foreign data, but the UK Parish records would have been nice.. |

I have managed (not sure how though) to get four 14 day free trials from ancestry. I have never paid for one so far. |

Thank you Heather, yes I have read all reply’s but on ringing Ancestry they still only offered 10%, I told them of the 20% that had been offered to others but was still only offered 10, I will try again next week and hopefully get some one else other than “David” to talk to. |

Quidco is very genuine :) Ive had nearly a thousand quid in cash back from them in the last 3 years. HOWEVER, you are supposed to be a first time subber to ancestry to get the 25% cashback. You can overcome that by using a different email addy apparently. |

They were running a half price special back in June so I think I will cancel and see what they can offer. Here are the prices from then: |

Mine run out last week and have not yet herd a word from Ancestry, I rang them and asked about the 25% that can be got at Quidco and if they would offer that over the phone to me but was told “No” but he could offer me 10% over the phone. |

I hope you're right, Sue. Mine expired last week and I'm waiting for the 20% off offer. However I'm going through withdrawal symptoms, don't know if I'll make it. |
