When you have the image on your screen; right click and you will get a list of options. Choose 'save picture as' and you should get a box giving options such as save in documents and you can give it any file name that you like.

I KNOW this question of saving images from ancestry to your own computer has probably been answered many many times in the past ...... but I can't find any threads

I have finally found my grandfather's WW1 records, and wanted to save them to my computer.

BUT I'm having problems. Nothing that I do seems to work

I have now saved them to my Shoebox on ancestry ................ but how on earth do I get them over to my hard drive?

Preferably as a Microsoft Office file

I am almost completely computer illiterate, so I need answers in words of one syllable please!!!

Many thanks
