On the original topic of how long to wait, i've just had a response from someone who after uploading his tree "was utterly inundated with responses which I found impossible to keep up with and then experienced a long period of poor health". He says that he is now picking up the threads and replying to every one who made contact with him but it's obviously a long process. So as others have said, don't always assume the worst. You may get fed up and mentally write someone off - then it comes as a pleasant surprise when they do eventually reply. |
