I sent for a couple of English certs last night (morning for you). I think the d cert is the right one for my gt gt grandmother, age and place are right. I am hoping informant might be a daughter or a son in law. |

No, Beejay, I decided it might as well stay there as a monument to the nastiness of the creator. After all, who would be copying it? The names were all slightly different from real ones and the only people who would look would most likely be people who were told by me about it. |

Huia, morning. Did you ever get that very offensive tree removed from Ancestry or is it still there? |

I have an even worse problem which I have aired on these boards before. My sister is in a lot of trees m to a man b in 1723, even though many of them had our father correctly named with his correct y.o.b. of 1899. Simple mathematics would have told the people they were wrong. When I sent messages to many of the people, some ignored my message, others replied that my email was very rude (pointing out their error?). Only a few corrected it. The only problem with leaving them happily thinking their tree is marvellous is that others copy it and the error is perpetuated. It irritates me greatly. |

I have had the same problem, I even offered to help the person to sort out the correct Grt Grt Grandparents but to no avali, I take a lot of time & trouble to make sure my info is right, if I am not sure I don't put it on my tree. I have just had a look at the tree in question & all the wrong info is still there |

My gt. grandmother appears on 3 Ancestry trees with the wrong parents. All her siblings have been allocated to the wrong parents too. |
