I favour the birth for Elizabeth Lilian as she was the only Elizabeth French registered in that time frame in Marylebone. |

1881 England Census |

The 1911 census should tell you how long they have been married, in genral its a good guide when trying to find missing children to assume they will be born after the marriage (sometimes show up in the same year and quarter as the marriage though!). |

Thanks everyone for your help, it is much appreciated. I am currently trying to do my family tree with my daughter and we are not doing too bad, the census is a great help, just wish the 1881 was available as this is the one that would be really helpful trying to locate the other children. |

And don't rule out the possibility of church records. |

I'd start with the 1901 census as it would be bad luck if all the missing children were born and died between the census's, this might bring up a few names. |

If it's an uncommon surname and they stayed in the same village, it might be possible to guess. Look at when the surviving children were born and try to figure out when the others would fit in. |
