Thanks Jim, you made me realise what Brinsley was saying. I was missing out an essential part of his instructions. Opened my tree as normal and once opened I was only pressing Ctrl expecting something miraculous to happen before my eyes I wasn't clicking on the family tree button again. Have just tried it and it works beautifully too. I'm actually quite a fan of tabs. Sometimes I have a series of tabs open to flick around amongst IGI, GR and BMD for instance. |

If I remember correctly there are different ways to set up your browser which will determine whether or not new tabs or new pages open. So different people me see different effects. Basic principle is the same though. |

I use IE8,right clicking on "family tree" does give me the option to open tab or window.Control is not used. |
