Its been a while ( 3yrs)., but just a wee update on the above post. Patrick Slevin b. 1881 in Tempo,Co.Fermanagh. Married Mary Kelly 1901 and had a son John b.1901 in Tempo, Co. Fermanagh. Still not found death cert for Patrick but think may have died during The Great War. Nearest person i can find is a Patrick Slevin, aged 35yrs, Acting sargeant with the Enniskillen Volunteers, died 1916. Only problem is that although he fits the parameter of my Patrick, how do i find out if it is him as no next of kin details are given. As for my Gran, i found her birth cert, born in Cambuslang and in 1911 census also in Cambuslang. Patrick's parents where Thomas Slevin and Mary Jane Meehan married also in Co.Fermanagh and had at least 7 other children, all of which can be found in the 1901 & 1911 census' of Ireland. Mary Jane Meehan ( mother) died somewhere between censusus and the father Thomas remarried in 1910 to Mary Ann unknown. As far as im aware Patrick was the only one to leave the shores of Ireland. |

Hi MarieCeleste. The death you have given for Mary Jane Meehan sounds about right 1909 as does the age and area, couldn't find this my self, thanks. I think the marriage you have given for Thomas & Marianne Halpin is one i came across through IFHF. Although it sounds to be them, i was put off because of the ages entered, although area and year are correct. Didnt realise the McElroy name was also entered, didnt get that piece of info. Would you say that the ages entered are in error or deliberate because of the age gap. |

Sorry MarieCeleste, going by info given on IFHF from MC, Mary Jane Meehan born 1859/1860 and Thomas Slevin 1861/1862. Thomas father was called James Slevin and Mary Jane's was called John Meehan (labourer ), no mother details were entered. Marriage was in 1880 if i remember correctly in Co.Fermanagh. Thanks |

Hello Robert, I only have access to the index which doesn't give the ages at marriage. What were the ages shown on the 1910 marriage? |
