I believe so - the blurb under the search screen spoke of a link to images taken of the collectionscanada microfilms. The possibly cheaper alternative would be to check first at your local library or LDS FHC to see if you could access Ancestry that way. |

I had a look at Canada 1891 (April). However, there weren't any likely hits for Emily. |

thanks lisa .. that looks quite promising .. i don't have access to the passenger lists ... have been debating whether to pay per view but not knowing where to start had thought i might ask if anyone could find any leads first. |

Sandra, I had somewhat the same problem. While searching my ancestors, I knew one ancestor was born in "England" (THAT narrows down the search, eh)? Luckily, I knew where (in Canada) he was buried and upon writing to the manager at the cemetery office, I found out more details about him which included Place of Birth: Hatfield, England. While that narrowed down the search, there were 7 Hatfields in England in the 1820's. :( |
