my only girl, dad watches her like a hawk?
also she has 3 brothers that have not yet learnt to keep secrets? actually she has just come in and asked if i would like a cuppa? better get my poison tester in. very wily these girls,
suppose i will relent in the end but she has to learn, her 'love' is the same age and their still embarrassed to even hold hands,
dads not naive though, as they say i was a child once.

I used to find having a tantrum lying on the floor kicking my legs and banging my feet like a 2 year old interspersed with the

I hate yous ,its not fair ,im going to tell my dad etc
behaveing even worse than the way they did shocked em into at least 5 minutes stunned silence
then is was normally from them
you are so infantile /pathetic etc
my reply
and the point is??
more slamming doors as they went to sulk.

oooooooooo first love at 14
i remember it well ,his name was barry and 17
no mobiles then though
but he did have a motor bike which i NEVER told my parents about!!

second thoughts
your prob better off buying the mobile credit then at least you know where she is.

saturday /holiday jobs are good if you can get em teens.
then you know what its like to have to earn that paper stuff that you get through so fast.

hi vivienne,
my daughter is on her first love 'age 14 just' and she has just asked me to top up her mobile phone the 2nd time this week and i have just told her no?
so i have just learnt how teenagers swear in grunt language and slam doors and cry in grunt and the usual "i am going to tell mum"? but the boys are all here taking the mickey out of her. i beleive my oldest 2 did this but then i worked away and missed most of it, now its my turn to deal with it with these 4,
been okay for 4 years but patience is thin?

trouble is the costa del sol is sold as an all year round resort by travel agents.
in the winter period a lot of what is open in summer is closed and the sunshine does not equate to 300+ days a year?
with the exchange rates as they are for the pound stirling i doubt many british tourists will visit in 2009.

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 4 Jan 2009 20:10

I spent 6 months in, mojacar ,cota del sol in 1986

I really liked it but it was just a small village then
bet its not now as it had a really nice beach

hope the teens are being more communicative today

we have snow and ice here in west wales

swopsies??

Hi grumpy, and everyone

still cold here ............. but at least we can cocoon in our own home, just as you can Mick when it rains.

Like you, I often feel sorry for the holiday makers who come here.

Everyone forgets that Vancouver is officially in a Temperate RAINFOREST region. This means rain, and lots of it, from October to April. Then we get very little rain (usually), with possible drought, from May to end of September.

Grumpy Report 4 Jan 2009 13:04

hello everyone.
living in spain is great but although i live on the costa del sol don't let any one fool you this is an all year round holiday destination, i often feel so sorry for holidaymakers i want to take them home, (i don't)? for the last 3 days it has been raining (monsoon) but today is sunny enough to walk 200metres to the beach with my youngest son so he can walk along the beach with his new metal detector he got for christmas? kids one £15.00 in argos there is some good in my wife travelling back and forth to england, white goods are terribly expensive here and don't get me talking about exchange rates? i digress half an hour and he hasn't found anything and wants to go back to to his gameboy what are kids like?
