having looked, i think the witnesses were from the carr side of the family and not the knights, i found a marriage for a mary carr to james brimson in 1882 in liverpool. |

the names of the witnesses are hard to read but look like J Bimson and Mary Bimson. |

Sometimes the marriages are recorded for the purposes of a naval widow's pension. You might try the National Archives site. |
