Hi Rose ,Yes she knows.about me doing my tree.thats why i dont think she can know...I have asked many questions but i would never let on i know.
I have tried typing her mothers name on so many sites under marriages to see what i can find,
Is there anyway i could find out if she had been married twice.

Christine,

That's a tricky one that I can't really answer for you.

Does she know you're compiling a family tree? Perhaps you could ask her about her parents and see what she tells you.

Christine,

If you have the details for both birth registrations you can order the certificates from the GRO.

My friend has a late entry birth cert (as well as a first one) because his parents changed their mind about what to call him!

Milly, I beg to differ, I have both certs for my female relative. Unless you mean after adoption, when I believe the original cert is not availablle.

Hi Keith..This is what i have been thinking.I have checked to see if she was registered under her mothers name..Its very awkward .Thankyou.

Or in the case of one of my lot, the parents were not married at birth and she was registered under mothers name, married later and child re-registered under fathers name.

I suppose it could just mean that she was not registered within the time limit for registration

I have tried on a few sites to look at my Mothers birth date as i am torn to weather to order her birth cert.I have just found her and it says it was a late entry, have any of you come accross this before?what does it mean(could it mean addopted)
