I have my grandfather's birth certificate and it lists his father as George Albert Raymond and mother as Emma Mary Ann Raymond, formerly Frost - 1910. |

So if my grandfather's mother was called Emma Mary Ann Frost - do I have the wrong marriage certificate? |

On marriage certificate it is carpet layer -and on birth certificate it is carpet planner. Surely too much of a coincidence? |

Am I trying to be too accurate? If he was 20 at the time of his marriage in 1898, wouldn't have have been born in 1878, not 1873. (I am still pretty new at this) |

Clitheroelass | Report | 14 Oct 2008 22:22 |
yes he would of been abouts thats why i said there is an age gap even though he is a carpet planner |

I have had a good look round and have not found an Emma Selina Frost even had a look at the marraige reg scan but its a typed version , i can only say that i think who ever typed from the original scan may of mistranscibed it and i think the one above is the correct one. |

I think you must be right - just seemed so odd to get such a different name on the two certificates. I am going with the Emma Mary Ann and really appreciate all that work. |
