On a 1901 census i have a son and his family living with another family member next door to his mother, who according to the census lives on her own. Can anybody explain why this would be? I hope this makes sense. |

So would you say that Jane is an aunt and Charlotte deceased was his mother? |

Do you have your Albert's birth cert? This would confirm his parents' names. |

It would make it easier for you - otherwise you could well end up following the wrong branch! |

Order it through the General Register Office - or GRO. It will cost you £7.00. You quote the ref nos and the quarter and the area the birth took place. |

Trudy, I don't quite understand why you think Albert was the son of Edmund and Jane? |
|||
|
MaryfromItaly | Report | 11 Oct 2008 16:52 |
It does seem odd that Charlotte and Edmund would have two sons called Albert, though. |

Many thanks Mary for looking into this for me. |

Poor Trudy accidently deleted her thread about Edmund Gillam having a son Albert born c1861 and a son born c1880. |
