Ann palfreyman was MARRIED in north Wingfield..she was not born in North Wingfield..the only Ann born in NWF in 1711 was Ann Cutt.who didn't marry there.

Sandra..the child Robert b 1726 could not be the child of Robert and Ann palfreyman..they werent married till 1734
I haven't found the birth of Ann Palfreyman..only Anne Palfreyman baptised 1812.......I'd be happey enopugh with that if you accpet that she could be Ann on one entry and Anne on another.

Hi Derek

Sorry to be a nuisence but I am a little confused about Ann Palfreyman. The entry I found on the igi web site was an extracted entry - the 15 Nov 1511 (christening). Do you think that this is the christening record for my Ann. I thought she was born in North Wingfield. Is there another record for Ann which is mory likely?

Hi Derek,

Thanks for looking for me. I had serious doubts about the Robert 1726 but thought that Elizabeth was a possibility as it fiited in with the other dates.

Thank you for finding me Ann Palfreymans birth details. I can now add her father George to my tree.

Hi Sandra.....I would be tempted to reject both Robert and Elizabeth..because Elizabeth was bapt 05.05 1738 daughter of Robert and Anne...with an E..I'll see if i can find a marriage..... and the 1726 Robert...02.10.1726 was the son of John and Alice..........

Derek

Thanks for your kind offer. I have John Drabble who married Deborah Hollingworth in 1749 in Peak Forest Chapel. They went on to have a number of children in the Chesterfield area, including Samuel around 1763. By 1785 Samuel has moved to Notts where he stayed all his life. I found a death for Deborah, but nothing for John. Anything on John would be greatly appreciated. His son Samuel said John was "farmer of Grassmoor"

Hi again Sandra I'm not a great fan of IGI and LSD records..unless they are extracted..the birth for Ann palfreyman will NOT be extracted becasue i have the Tideswell Parish records from which such info would have been extracted....the only Ann who might fit is in fact Anne.bapt15.11.1812...ok she could have been born 1811, becasue one of the great mysteries tro me is the length of time you often find in early records of the gap between birth and baptism..Her father was george palfreyman by the way.
There are trillions of palfreymans in Tideswell!

will keep digging for you

Hi Derek,

Thank you for the information. Hannah and her parents came from another genes member and although I am more than happy to take peoples research at face value it is always nice to have dates confirmed. The two siblings of Hannah were also made available to me together with two other siblings Elizabeth White 1738 and Robert White 1726. Elizabeths birth and parentage I am tempted to accept as it also shows on the igi website, however Robert White 1726 seems rather early compared with the other children and the parents marriage. Are you able to throw any light on these births.

Also, do you have any records to indicate who Ann Palfreymans parents were. The only birth that I could find on the igi website was for a Ann Palfeyman was 1711 but Tideswell so I am not sure about this one at all.

Many thanks, Sandra

Dewdrop.....have managed to get some info from you..Church Gresley did have several Shakespears....but 1816 is just a touch early for the parish records.........However....I have a marriage for a John Shakespear and Elizabeth in 1840..producing two children Eliza 29.08.1841 and Rutch 06.08.1843.....
If this is your John he would have been 24..which is fine...
Keep in touch

Hi Dewdrop....having some difficulty with Shakespear.for the moment..but have info on Thomas Heap:-

was born 12.05.1786 Swadlincote Derbys
died 26.09.1861 Lichfield Staffs

He was a Lichfield man his father was Thomad Heap of Lichfield 1760-1812 and his mother Jane Sandland 1747-1836....his father married three times and there was bit of naughties going on somwhere because your Thomas was three years old when his father married again....

Grandparents Wiliiam Heap and Elizabeth Farmerly....

Your Thomas heap married RUTH HOUGH b.1785.. from Ashby de-la Zouch Leicestershire on 06.08.1810..in Ashby.
They had FIVE children:-
John 1811-1845
Thomas 1814-1879
Maria 1815 ..
Robert 1818
Elizabeth 1824

You can carry this lot on through the census records if you have them..otherwise i can do it for you if want to go that far..

I'll keep looking for the Shakespear bit

Hope this helps

Hi Derek, thanks for the offer of help. Two things I am looking for, the first is the birth/christening for Ellen Gregson around 1782. in all the census she says she's from Longford but her age is never quite so certain. She married John Sherratt 1807 Kirk Langley, Derbyshire.

The next one I'm looking for is Samuel Sherratt who is living with the above Ellen and John in Kirk Langley on the 1841 census aged 6. I've not found a birth for him although all their other children can be found on the IGI. so a birth/christening for him would be great plus a mention of who his parents might be????

Many thanks

Annette

Hi Derek,

One of my direct ancestors, Hannah White was born in North Wingfield in 1736. I beleive that her parents were Robert white born in Tupton 1708 and Ann (surname unknown) born in Tupton 1712.

Would it be possible to confirm these birth years and also find a marriage and maiden name for Ann

Many thanks inanticipation,

Sandra
