Hi Christine - found him on Ancestry. The 1851 one was written down as "Chs" on the image, I think - not a variant I had ever come across! |

On the IGI there is a Charles Brodway Hydon married to a Mary Ann Parsons 15th Oct. 1866 St. Nicholas, Warwick. |

I have a relative called Charles John Hydon who was born in 1871. His parents were Mary Ann Parsons [maiden name] and Charles John Hydon. However, on their son's birth certificate the father is known as just Charles Hydon, but on the son's [Charles John Hydon] marriage certificate [to Lizzie Houghton] it says the father too is called Charles John Hydon. I do have all 3 of them living together in the 1871 and 1881 census, though they are down as Hyden in one one of them. However, I am confident, despite the discrepancy that these are correct due to the address matching that of the birth certificate of the son [Charles John Hydon]. |
