Janet, Ive still not found my GGPx4 marriage or baptisms - scream - and I live only a couple of miles from the little village churchyard where they are buried. I shall treat myself to a big dinner or something when the day comes that they turn up. The earliest I have on them is a settlement cert in 1760 which must have been shortly after they married - but no marriage anywhere in about 40 parishes so far :( |

I find that if I find things for myself they seem to gel more into the tree I keep in my brain. |

Virginia, check out Tips for Newbies on here and may be concentrate on sorting out the info you already have - buy a program to use off line, rather than just the GR one - you can buy the Who do you think you are Family Tree maker program for only about £6 now from play.com including 14 days free ancestry. |

Virginia, as Reggie says, you can look up births, marriages and deaths on freebmd - its free - Ive had a quick look and Reg a surprising number of Uriah Jaggers - lol. But this one in Wakefield seems likely. Marriages arent in couples but in alphabetical order so it may not mean this Eliza married the Uriah listed. What you should do is look for their childs birth on freebmd and then buy that certificate for £7 fromGRO online which will give his mothers maiden name. |

Look for a marriage on freebmd........base your search on the son's birth year........... |
